Priestess TV Episode 33: The Power of Storytelling with Mariam Issa
On today’s episode of Priestess TV, we are graced with Mariam Issa’s presence, who brings forth the memories of her mother, grandmother, Somali, Kenya, and the traditions of both African and Islamic spirituality.

The human spirit is threaded, and therefore we are not far from one another, and we see this through tales. Let us revive the ancient ways of learning and teaching through stories, for it is a way to educate our children and our community.
Mariam, we honor the story weaver in you. Mariam, named for Mary, the mother of Jesus, and Issa, Jesus himself. May others be soothed by your poetry, and may your words evoke feelings that stir change.
